Americans are pumping their kids full of antipsychotics, so they’ll be more orderly and compliant. Nothing like a drug zombie, eh? Ironic since the last big things was antidepressants. Without going completely Scientology here, suffice it to say, psychoactive drugs must be kept to an absolute minimum.

Since 1993, the number of American children forced to take dangerous “antipsychotic” drugs has risen by fivefold, according to a grim new study published by the Archives of General Psychiatry.

Hardly any research has been done on the effects of the crazy pills on U.S. kids — none of the “commonly prescribed antipsychotics” are even approved for use on children.

But that hasn’t stopped America’s reckless and corrupt doctors from writing prescriptions for any child who shows the slightest sign of bad behavior.

What little is known about the long-term effects is all bad: The drugs turn kids into obese diabetics with ruined minds.

So, who is to blame? Doctors? Pharmaceutical companies? Or is it indeed something deeper, darker and more troubling that goes to the core of the American dream and a confused sense of unity? At any rate, abuse at home goes hand in hand with abuse abroad like I always say. If you can do this at home to “pacify” your own children (and even consider that they need “pacifying”) there is no telling what you can do to other people’s children. Oh well, perhaps these kids will be of some use as elementary cannon fodder in Iraq when they grow up in 10 years or so.
