German police cracks down on local TOR nodes blaming the usual suspects in an effort to deflect criticism and hide the actual agenda. Much of the criticism levelled against TOR could of course be levelled against the Internet in general and it stands to reason that TOR is only one target in an ongoing and extremely insidious effort to bring the Net under corporate, political control. Does anyone really believe that only China would have a problem with the ‘democracy leak’ being facilitated by the wired world?
UPDATE: So this turned out to be only partially correct, as TOR nodes weren’t allegedly specifically targeted, thanks to the wonderful fact checking of the blogosphere. Still, the choice to once again tilt at the windmill of child pornography should not go unnoticed.
